You look after card settlements. Every card payment a restaurant takes on Tumikia has to reach that restaurant's M-Pesa or bank on time, and the numbers have to agree before anyone asks. M-Pesa payments go straight to the restaurant, so they are not yours to settle.
What you will do
- Reconcile card payments against settlements every day, venue by venue.
- Make sure each restaurant is paid on time, and chase anything that is late or short.
- Answer restaurants' questions about their card payments, with the figures in hand.
- Improve the reports and checks that make reconciliation faster.
What you bring
- Experience in reconciliation, payments operations or accounting.
- Precision with numbers and spreadsheets.
- A habit of finding the cause of a difference, not just the difference.
- Knowledge of Kenyan payments and banking is a plus.
Where
Nairobi. Full time.
