Restaurant onboarding lead

Field · Nairobi · Full time

You set restaurants up on Tumikia and stay until the staff run it without you. A typical morning: walk the dining room, photograph the menu, build it in the dashboard, put the QR codes on the tables, set up the kitchen screen, and train the floor and kitchen team during a real service.

What you will do

  • Take a newly signed restaurant from contract to its first full service on Tumikia.
  • Build its menu, tables, stations and staff accounts, and check every price with the owner.
  • Train waiters, kitchen and managers on their own screens, during service, not in a meeting room.
  • Come back in the first weeks, fix what is not working and report what the product should do better.

What you bring

  • Experience in restaurants or hospitality, front or back of house, or in setting up systems for them.
  • Calm in a busy kitchen, and the patience to show the same thing five times.
  • Comfort with a laptop, a tablet and a spreadsheet.
  • English and Swahili.

Where

Nairobi, travelling to restaurants across the city most days. Full time.

How hiring works

  • We read every application. A person on the team you applied to reads it, not a filter.
  • A call of about 20 minutes: what you have done, what you want next, and what the role involves.
  • One practical task or a day with us.
  • A decision either way. You hear from us whether it is yes or no.
